Where to Recycle:

Paper

We accept paper in many different forms, including:

  • Newspaper
  • Office paper
  • Colored paper
  • Glossy paper
  • Magazines
  • Receipts
  • Cardstock
  • Junk Mail (the plastic windows on envelopes are okay)
  • Phonebooks and paperback books (hardcover books are also accepted – tear off the cover and recycle it with CARDBOARD, and the pages go with PAPER)

You can recycle your PAPER at the RECYCLING CENTER and ANY COLLECTION STATION

The paper we recycle in Lawrence County is turned into home insulation!

For every ton of paper recycled instead of thrown away, enough energy will be saved to heat your home for 6 months. (source).

Try double sided printing when you print a document. You will use 50% less paper!
